Souljourn Might Be What You're Looking For

Greetings,

My name is Steve Mikel, and I am the Pastor of Souljourn Christian Fellowship, meeting on Sunday mornings, 9:30 am at the AMC Twin Theatre located in downtown Celebration, Florida.

Thank-you for taking some time to look into what we believe God has clarified as His vision for us as a church, that is, as a growing fellowship of people following Jesus Christ as Lord.

God created YOU for a unique purpose. He has a vision of what should be, and He, knowing what type of personality, skills, talents and timing are required to accomplish that purpose, spoke YOU into existence at just the right time and place. Even though we are all individuals, created to fulfill God's purposes, and have a relationship with him restored through Jesus Christ, He grows, teaches and strengthens us corporately, in relationships with each other as well. This is one of the major purposes of the church. I pray that as you strive to walk in your purpose, reaching for the vision that God has given you, that you are led to where God would have you connect with other Christians supporting that fellowship with your talents, skills & finances.

As you review the vision that God has placed before Souljourn Christian Fellowship, I ask that you would prayerfully consider the following points.

  We are a growing church, reaching towards a clearly stated vision. Yet, just as Nehemiah had a clear vision..., he also knew God had placed him in a specific place at a specific time in order to respond, with hope, when the Persian King asked "What is it you want?"
  Souljourn is currently in a "Phase 1-Theatre Church Stage" (this will make more sense when you have completed reviewing the vision) focusing on discipling those that God has currently placed in our care.
  Your financial support is greatly appreciated, and is needed now more than ever, and will help grow Souljourn's ministry in the community.
• You've known my wife (Jo) and I, and wondered where God has led us.
  Sadly, we have lost contact with many people that have known us over the years (possibly from when we were in Dayton, Ohio,
  or even since we have been in Celebration, Florida). The pathway God has walked us along has had its ups and downs, and sometimes the turns in the road have come upon us quickly. You might have been one of those that felt we dropped off the planet.
  We have found that often, as God directs His people in and out of learning experiences, it becomes difficult to explain, at that time, what and why situations are changing, we ourselves may not even know the complete lesson that is being learned until much later.
  Please forgive us, if you felt we left you in the dark at some point, that was never our intent. Consider that much of this vision is a result of all of those experiences the Lord has taught us. We would welcome the opportunity to reconnect with all of you.
